Saturday, June 17:  Graduation Day.  Georgia Boys State 2006 comes to a close with the Graduation Ceremony at the GSU Performing Arts Center.  Thanks to all Staff, Legionnaires, Parents, High Schools and Boys State Delegates for another great year!

Friday, June 16:  The Final Day of Boys State.  The Government of Georgia Boys State is operational today until 5:30 PM.  Today's Guest Speaker was decorated Vietnam Veteran Tommy Clack.  The Georgia State Patrol presented its helicopter and rollover simulator.  A special Devotional was given by the staff, and the GBS Chorus performed tonight.

Thursday, June 15:  State Government Day.  The Government on the State Level is formed after the final election of the week.  Congratulations to James Charles Salter and Jason Christopher Evans for being elected the Governor and Lt. Governor of Georgia Boys State 2006, respectively.  Athletics were held today, and Tonight's Devotional was given by Madison County.

Wednesday, June 14:  State Party Convention Day.  Today the candidates for the State Government level positions are selected for each party.  The Boys State Delegates participated in a syndicated radio show known as "Teen Forum", where they expressed and debated various current issues.  Today's Guest Speakers were State Superintendent of Schools Kathy Cox and General Robert E. Gray (retired) of the U.S. Army.  Tonight's Devotional was given by Jefferson County.

Tuesday, June 13:  County Government and Political Party Day.  Today the positions on the County Government level are elected and installed.  Athletics were rained out.  Today's Guest Speaker was the Honorable Sonny Perdue, Governor of the State of Georgia.  Tonight's Devotional was done by Adams County.

Monday, June 12:  City Government Day.  Today the positions on the City Government level are elected and installed.  Tonight's Devotional was done by Washington County.

Sunday, June 11:  GBS 2006 is now underway.  The Citizens have arrived and received orientation about the week's procedures.  Tonight's Devotional was done by the Boys State Staff.
