HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER OF THE BOYS STATE STAFF
Thank you for your interest in serving on the staff of Georgia Boys State. The Georgia Boys State staff is made up of approximately 4 outstanding men from throughout the State of Georgia. Most of us are members of the American Legion or Sons of the American Legion; however, we also have support from the Georgia Department of Public Safety. We comprise the Senior Staff that serves either as City Counselors and County Coordinators, or as members of the Administrative Staff. The Senior Staff is supplemented by former Georgia Boys State citizens who serve as Junior Counselors. If you are interested in serving on the staff, please click on the link below.
The American Legion Georgia Boys State program is held each year for 1 week commencing on the 2nd Sunday in June. The Staff reports the Saturday before the second Sunday. The 2008 session will be held on the campus of Georgia Southern University.
While there are many positions at Georgia Boys State we require all staff members to be prepared to be city counselors. This requires the staff member to be in good physical health, able to start at 6 in the morning and go until 11 pm at night, walk to most events and climb stairs.
If you are interested in being considered for a position on the Georgia Boys State Staff, please complete the application and forward it to:
